⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem Where You Feel Like a Greek God Staying at John’s Houses was an experience unlike anywhere else. Perched on a silent, windy hilltop, this studio makes you feel as if you’re one of Onassis’s grandchildren—discreetly privileged, with the entire island laid out at your feet. The atmosphere is so peaceful you can hear the silence. Only the soft rustle of the melted Greek winds keeps you company as you sit on your private terrace, looking out over the vast, endless blue of the Aegean and the shimmering turquoise waters of the first little beach down below—a magical, light blue-green cove that looks almost unreal from up here. The studio itself is simple and elegant, perfectly clean, with everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works flawlessly, and the daily housekeeping keeps the space fresh. But it’s the feeling that stays with you: the sense that time slows down, and you’ve found a secret corner of the world where you can just be. We rented a motor bicycle, which was more than enough to easily get anywhere—whether it was the village of Koufonisi in one direction or the other side of the island with Pori Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches we’ve ever seen. In the opposite direction, just 10 minutes by bike, you’ll find four beaches lined up side by side, each more beautiful than the last. Depending on where the wind is coming from, you can always pick the beach with the calmest, shallowest water. One of our favorite spots was Fanos Seaside Bar. There aren’t many beach bars and restaurants around, so it’s a good idea to go early before 12 o’clock and claim an umbrella with lounge chairs right at the water’s edge for about €25. Make it a little ritual the way the Greeks do: swim in the bright turquoise sea, then come back to your table for a few bites—some good cheese, a fresh Greek salad, maybe a plate of perfectly grilled calamari, and of course a glass of tsipouro to loosen up and enjoy the day.

We liked everything. The room was cosy, clean, and super comfortable with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The views are spectacular. Manolis picked us up from the port and drove us there on departure.

Modern, clean and very comfortable accommodation offering excellent value for money. Kind and very helpful staff providing free transport to and from the port. Great views from the patio looking out to sea and the islands beyond.

The room was fantastic, very clean, nice design, great view and all the facilities you need. Excellent hospitality, pick up and return to the port. Highly recommend for a short or long stay! We will definitely return to this room!
