The Hotel is excellent for business and the Management listen to the client when I was staying with them . When I enter the hotel the reception tells me that I cannot bring food from outside , I cannot bring alcohol for my own use , I cannot meet anybody in my room although I paid for 2 person as my business partner was travelling with me . It was a list of too many donts . There was also no Mini bar fridge and one was provided to me but bare fridge .As business people we come to Kolkata to carry out business and if the hotel is unfriendly we start spending money at Acropolis a Mall very close to the hotel or we entertain at Mirch Masala a restaurant with alcohol and good food not far from the hotel beside Pantaloon. Then after 2 days of this jail kind of style I met the housekeeping Manager and explained to him why I was not spending money at this Regenta orkus hotel . Then they got me a special approval from the General Manager of the hotel and the hotel became like every 5 Star property where they let businessmen do business and we started spending money in the hotel . Overall I will recommend this hotel however if you get the feeling you are in a jail you need to meet the Housekeeping manager and get the special approval . You see Vivanta hotel is just down the road is 5 star and just a little more money. There will be a comfort level . Regenta Orkus needs to correct this Not allowed Not allowed Not allowed to businessmen . We are the repeat travellers. I am writing this note for all future customers. This is a good property . The food is excellent , The rooms are pretty . The staff are good . The swimming pool is very private on the roof. I liked the hotel very much and it is very central in South Kolkata . Just the initial shock needs to be corrected by the hotel . I solved my problem but it was not necessary to happen this way . This is my thoughts to all .
