The rooms were modern, neat, nice designs. Location is fabulous close to Gariahat, Lakes with plenty of cafés in walking distance. The roof top pool is a dream come true in this part of town. Food was great.

I arrived at about midnight, and despite a mix-up with my booking, at entirely my fault, I was checked in immediately. I had been given an upgrade to an executive suite, which was a surprise and was very comfortable. Although there were two TV screens I did not watch any programs and they remained off. I had priced an Uber to take me to a particular temple but the Duty Manager Ms Sweta B, offered the Hotel's car and driver for up to 5 hours and 50km for a very good price. She even gave me advice on other sights worth seeing. I probably only used the car for 3 hours. The next day was the same deal and different points of interest. Ms Sweta is excellent and made me feel most welcome, as did all the staff. If I visit Kolkata again, I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Centric again.
