Great place to stay. The family running it are lovely and very friendly. They were always around and willing to help with anything. Huts are very spacious and have a great hanging rail for drying clothes. Beds were comfortable. Communal space is very nice for relaxing and hiding from the sun. Toilets and bathrooms are very well kept!

We stayed 6 nights and it was in a perfect location. Bird and his wife were so lovely and accommodating, they really made our trip memorable. Make sure to spend an evening or 2 in the bar talking with Bird, he’s fantastic energy to be around. The bamboo bungalows were a great size with fans, mosquito net and side table, quite basic but has all you need and they’re nestled in a lovely garden where you can hear all the birds chirping in the morning. The toilet & shower block was always absolutely spotless and clean. We’d recommend everyone coming to Koh mook to stay here. A beautiful and memorable time.

The location is kind of excellent if you want to stay in the village and not by the beach: all the best places - well ALL places really - are within short walking distance. The bamboo huts are as basic as they come but in that category very nice and well-kept. Huts are dark and stay rather cool in the night. The bed is big and pretty hard as is usual in Thailand but still comfortable. If you are at all put off by shared bathrooms, don't be - they are immaculately clean and neat and nice! I'm super sensitive to sound but the bar music didn't bother me one bit (stayed in the hut furthest from the sound tho), slept like a baby. The bar is dirt cheap, and there's free water and hot water for use. The yard, which has cashew trees!, is huge and could easily host double the amount of huts. Maybe it one day will, but for now I appreciated the sense of not being too commercial, leaving space to just be. And in other ways as well this place feels not so capitalism-infused but more just good chill vibes and enough is enough. The hosts seem very friendly and helped us whenever we needed anything, but didn't really interact with them so much. They live their own lives and we cross sometimes :)
