First notice this venue Villa Koggala is on main road and best identified on Google maps via Fish Stick Restaurant. There’s an imitation nearer the lagoon that’s not correct. Accommodation is comfortable but basic. Don’t expect luxuries. But family that run it are kind and helpful and cook excellent fresh food. Restaurant is popular with locals too. Make sure you ask them about visiting nearby Weduwa Arana Buddhist monastery by boat especially if it’s a full moon Poya Day. Beautiful serene monastery and shrine.

Friendly, family run homestay directly opposite the stilt fishermen. Nice accommodation, with a very decent restaurant. I ate at the restaurant on a few occasions, and the food was delicious, the service was very good. The room was clean, it had a comfortable bed, equipped with mosquito net. Very good AC.

In this calm surrounding you have evertything you need. The beach is one stap far like the bus station. They got there own market and resteaurant. The family is verry lovely they even brought us the local (spicey;) food.

Nice staff, big room and good airconditioning & fan. The restaurant below had good food and there was also a place to park our TukTuk on the property.
