The location is great - close to many amazing restaurants, great cafés and so on - and the beach is visible from the room. And for once I think that the average rating on Booking.com actually perfectly represents the accomodation - it is a solid 8. Room is really good in many regards - but A/C is pointed right at the bed, making it quite hard to find a sweetspot of cold/hot in the room. Bathroom is good - but with a bit of a broken shower head spraying all over and slightly brown toilet water. Still fully functional - just not amazing by any standards. Being on the beach is superb - but the beach in question is so shallow for so long that it requires a 5 minute walk in scorching sun to get out to the point where you can actually dip - so it is a bit hard to cool down. Pool is busy with divers 95% of the time and has no shade - so yes, there is a pool - but you won't use it. You can however use the pool next door at Fishermans which is way nicer for only 100thb per person/day.
