We had a very pleasant stay overall. The resort is set in a beautiful location, accessible by boat through the mangroves, which makes for a unique and memorable arrival experience. The staff are well trained, attentive, and very service-minded throughout. The villas are spacious and well maintained. While the décor is fairly basic, the mattress and linens were comfortable and of acceptable quality. One notable omission is the lack of a mini fridge, which is quite essential in Thailand’s climate. Breakfast is an area that could be improved. While the offering is similar to many other resorts, more than half of the guests are international, and the predominantly Thai menu can become challenging after a few days. Standard options such as bread and jam are very basic, with low-quality white toast and simple marmalades. There is also no proper coffee machine available at breakfast—only instant coffee. Although the bar has a coffee machine, it opens later, so even purchasing a proper coffee in the morning is not an option. Food overall did not meet expectations, and we ended up dining outside the resort for most meals. The bar also lacks happy hour offerings, which would be a nice addition. On the positive side, the boat transfers are very well organized and complimentary, with easy access to rental motorbikes from the pier. However, the pier area itself and its surroundings are quite dirty, with visible trash. As this is the first impression for guests, it would greatly benefit from regular cleaning and upkeep.

It’s like its own little island. Having to get boat to access the grounds was amazing however, the novelty does wear off. The villas are superb with great views of the sunset

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout our stay – Pai in particular was always available and went out of his way to accommodate all our requests. The location is ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet, as the hotel is quite secluded. It has an almost private beach, with a tidal lagoon and canal, and the property is accessed exclusively by boat, which adds to the unique experience. The natural setting is truly outstanding. Secret Beach, likely one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is just a few minutes away on foot or a short kayak ride. Despite the remote feel, many excellent restaurants can be reached within 10–15 minutes by scooter. The food scene on the island was surprisingly good. The hotel restaurant is also very good – portions are generous and justify the slightly higher prices. Breakfast leans more towards Asian options, which I personally appreciated, although I would have liked a wider selection of fruit. I had read some negative reviews about the rooms, but our experience was positive. We stayed in the Pool Suite Villa, which is the largest category. It features a relatively large private pool, a spacious terrace, and an amazing view of the sea and Koh Raet island. The villa felt at least partially renovated and was very spacious – essentially two connected units with a bedroom and bathroom plus a large separate living area. It also seems to be the only room type with a fridge and TV. While the terrace and pool area were excellent, there is still some room for further updates and refreshment, which would better justify the relatively high price. Wi-Fi was excellent. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised given some of the previous reviews and would definitely consider coming back.

Beautiful location, however it's a bit remote and isolated. So if you are looking for a peace and quiet it's a perfect place to stay.
