Our stay at Somervreug was nothing short of exceptional. The breakfast overlooked the beautiful Knysna lagoons (views from the property were breathtaking) and we were spoilt to a wide range of breakfast options that ranged from cold to hot and sweet to savory. The location was prime, a few minutes away from the Waterfront and Thesen Island. The host Jeanine, is probably the gem of the accommodation and Knysna itself, she takes customer service to a whole new level, she is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and hospitable. Whether you are a South African or International guest you will not go wrong with a stay at this establishment. It's value for money and was an absolutely amazing stay!! Can't wait to come back here!!!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The family room was spacious and beautifully decorated – perfect for us. Everything felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The service was outstanding. A special thank you to Jeanine who took such great care of us, she was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive and also gave us great tips on things to see and do in the area which really enhanced our stay. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight: delicious, fresh, and with a great variety. An extra plus was that we accidentally left behind a perfume bottle, and they contacted us and offered to send it to us. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

From the moment we arrived, Jeanine and Megan made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm and friendly hospitality. We stayed in Room 3, which features a fantastic balcony where you can take in the stunning views of Knysna. The room itself is spacious and beautifully furnished, with a comfortable L-shaped sofa perfectly positioned to enjoy the scenery from indoors as well. Everything was thoughtfully equipped with high-quality fittings, and the bathroom was equally impressive, complete with luxurious toiletries. Breakfast each morning was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices and served in the dining room overlooking lovely views of Knysna. Jeanine truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, providing helpful local insights and excellent restaurant recommendations. We have never experienced such genuinely friendly service anywhere else and were truly sad to leave.
