We were placed in the new area which is unfortunately in a car park across the road. This felt odd and disconnected from the main building.

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our hike on the nakasendo trail. We thought it offered what we expected for this price point - the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was good with some restaurants and shops nearby.

The onsen and the staff were fabulous. Very warm welcome. Super helpful and the bus back to the station was a real bonus. Location is great. Eight in the centre of town.
