We caught the airport shuttle bus to the roundabout at the end of Pickaquoy Road (i.e. just before the town centre) and walked 10 minutes up the hill to Grainbank Mews. The B&B accommodation and breakfast room is attached to, but essentially separate from the main house. Aileen was the perfect host and went out of her way to help us enjoy Kirkwall.

Everything. Warm welcome, modern facilities, quiet location, very comfortable bed in a warm room. Excellent cooked breakfast, friendly professional service. Easiest 5 star review I have made.
