In a lovely location the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar had a nice atmosphere with a number of locals in. The bar meals were good and good value.

After a very wet day in the hills, there was a boot dryer available, which was wonderful. We also got a very friendly welcome from the young woman behind the bar who promptly gave us certificates for completing the Pennine Way.
