What a beautiful Ryokan in the middle of the lush forest. Both the public and private onsens are fantastic, and guests can book different private baths at no extra charge. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful—when we arrived too late for dinner at the property, the front desk clerk kindly assisted us in suggesting an reserving at a nearby restaurant. Our room was spacious and nicely designed, featuring tatami flooring, low Japanese beds, and a balcony with serene forest views. We truly loved every aspect of our stay. Before departing, we enjoyed a delicious Japanese breakfast.

Easily the best Ryokan in Kirishima. It’s tucked away in a secluded side of the hillside creating a truly unmatched atmosphere and relaxation experience akin to classic Ryokans of the past.
