The meals were out of this world, the best seafood and accompaniments we've had anywhere in Sri Lanka — all prepared with such care and flavour, it felt like dining in a five-star restaurant with the warmth of home. He catered to our every need with genuine kindness and grace, organising a breathtaking safari and even surprising us with a beautiful celebration for our 20-year anniversary. The attention to detail, the impeccable cleanliness, and the heartfelt service made our stay unforgettable. Shehan himself is a diamond, a truly authentic, soulful host whose spirit shines through everything he does. We had an amazing stay at Kingfisher Beach Resort! Shehan, the owner, is such a kind and helpful host who made our trip unforgettable. We were so lucky to witness turtles at night laying eggs—a magical experience! The safari with Shehan was incredible, and the seafood from the chef was absolutely delicious. We loved relaxing in the natural pool and even enjoyed a great massage from Shehan. Thank you, Shehan! We will definitely be back!

We had an incredible stay at Kingfisher Beach Resort, Yala! Shehan, the owner, is an exceptional host who truly goes above and beyond with his care and hospitality. The fresh seafood served here was absolutely delicious and a highlight of our trip. Our full-day safari was an unforgettable experience, exploring secret roads without jeeps, fully immersing ourselves in nature. We were thrilled to see a group of elephants and even 5 leopards! Shehan’s deep knowledge of wildlife and his guidance throughout the safari made it even more special. The resort’s proximity to the beach and a nearby natural saltwater pool added to the charm. It was such a unique and relaxing experience. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay. Thank you, Shehan, for an amazing experience! We will definitely return and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Shehan is an amazing host and a great cooker. All the food was really good, and he was always kind and helpfull, making our days super sweet. Anything you need, he will help you for sure. He also does safaris and has a SPA to relax. The villa has everything you will need and the bed is confy. You are close to the beach and have a natural pool close by. It's a really nice local place to stay and chill. We enjoyed a lot and remmend 100%. Looking forward to come back again some day.

An exceptional host , Shehan made our stay memorable . The room is spacious and well appointed - A/c, hot shower , hanging space etc with a shaded seating area outside. It’s located a couple of minutes walk from a beautiful beach surrounded by wildlife , and about 20 mins from the Yala National park entrance . Shehan is not only a kind and caring host and excellent chef , he is a great safari guide and we saw elephants , leopard amongst many others . He is knowledgable and so observant . We would come back in a heart beat - we’d recommend this stay to anyone. Thankyou Shehan.

I had the most incredible stay at Kingfisher Beach Resort, all thanks to Shehan’s outstanding hospitality! From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. First, let’s talk about Shehan’s cooking – it’s truly next-level! The seafood was the freshest I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection every single time. Every meal felt like a celebration of flavors, and it was an absolute highlight of my stay. The room was spotlessly clean, which is so hard to find these days. It felt like a home away from home, comfortable and cozy, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. One of the highlights of my trip was the safari organized by Shehan. His deep knowledge of animals and birds made it an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to see a sloth bear and three leopards – memories that will stay with me forever. To top it all off, Shehan’s Ayurvedic massage was exactly what I needed to relax my mind and body after a long day of adventures. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge.
