Breathtaking views in each cabin. Beautiful little modern but natural style hut with a very peaceful serenity to it. Bath tub was amazing. Morning sunrise view also incredible. Would have loved to stay here longer if it had the availability.

Beautiful view of Mt. Batur from the cabin, loved the location. The cabin is very cozy and nicely decorated, the kitchen is well equipped. Staff was friendly and helpful with the free shuttle to get to the main road.

Loved our visit to Black Wood Cabin in Kintamani. The cabins are great, with wonderful views of Mount Batur. We weren't the most lucky with the weather during our stay as it was rainy season and visibility was not the best. I'd definitely recommend bringing some warmer gear like longer trousers and fleeces (and definitely a waterproof) if you are also visiting during rainy season. It's considerably colder in Kintamani than other locations further south in Bali like Seminyak and Ubud. Upon arrival, the hosts will make contact via WhatsApp to arrange collection from the main road - do not take your own transport or a taxi/grab/ Gojek driver directly to the cabins. I had read some reviews about the sketchy road to the location online and had totally underestimated how treacherous the road is. It's in really bad condition, really steep, filled with pot holes and only big enough for one car - it's quite an experience using the shuttle service!! I would not say the path is walkable either in case anyone is wondering. We saw a couple of tourists doing it and it looked tough and would definitely take a good 30-40 mins I'd reckon, whilst the shuttle was around 3 mins from the main road. Though it was a bit scary being passenger in a tropical thunderstorm on the evening we stayed. The cabins themselves were so cool. They are perfectly kitted out so that guests in effect don't need to leave the accommodation, it was a nice touch that some food was included like instant noodles, eggs and bread. The stand out feature is definitely the outdoor baths looking out onto Mount Batur. So beautiful and romantic for couple getaways. There's also a really great viewpoint from the upstairs bedroom area, where the glass doors open out onto a roped hammock area to chill. The young workers were all really helpful and kind - from the one who checked us in and out to the one offering room service/cleaning and the one running the shuttle service.
