It's great value for money. The room (10 Garden Suite) was spacious - 2 beds, to little tables, 2 comfy and 2 normal chairs, a wardrobe and a mirror. Plus an en-suite bathroom. Yes, the decor is tired, but it's fully functional to stay somewhere for a very affordable price. Downstairs is a decent lounge and a good sized breakfast room with tables. There's a also a tiny fridge which is ok for guests to use if you bring e.g. your own breakfast ingredients. Parking is directly in front of the hotel, and you can easily walk to the High Street from there. The complimentary breakfast we've received on the first day was an unexpected bonus! A bit of a shame this didn't work out for the next 2 days as stuff wasn't re-stocked, but I guess you can't complain about lack of something you haven't paid for! I'd definitely recommend that you bring your own cutlery/crockery - there are some bowls, mugs, spoons, knives and forks - but they don't get cleaned regularly, and there isn't a sink to wash them yourself.

We stayed in the penthouse which has a kitchenette. Great Spacious room with sofa, TV, dining area, nice views. The location is central within walking distance of local shops and restaurants and perfect for visiting the Cairngorms. Try the woodfired sauna at Loch insch
