One staff member went over & above totally - Andy ... We left some clothes in our wardrobe and I rung to inform you of this. Andy asked if we were going back for them , but we had already got home so said it would have to be another day as we lived across at Selby . Andy then said he was visiting relatives in the area and he would drop them off for us !! - now that is just amazing service - please nominate him for employee of the week if you have such an award or something similar !!! Thanks again Andy !

The staff were great, very friendly and chatty. I can't fault them. The only issue we had was we asked reception to book a taxi for us at 6.45 as we were going to a surprise party. Taxi didn't turn up. It had been incorrectly booked for 7.15. As it was a surprise party we had to be there by 7. Another member of staff soon sorted it. Maybe check the details are correct with the guest to avoid issues. Other than this minor issue, the staff were great. We ate in Marco Piere Whites restaurant and were very disappointed, to say the least. Incredibly tough steak and very cold, I have my steak rare, but I have never been served a cold steak. I also don't mind firm vegetables, but I have never been served raw vegetables. We eat out quite a lot in restaurants, and I would rate this as the second worst steak I have been served.On the whole we did enjoy our stay. The room was exactly what we needed for our stay. Facilities were also very good. Excellent coffee in the bar.

When we came to check in for the night the person behind reception said payment would be sorted on check out yet checking my bank account after they had taken room payment and the 50.00 charge for extras that is refundable but they have always asked me if I wanted to add the 50.00 also the bed was uncomfortable as the mattress moved all the time which made it awkward to get in and out of the bed . And unfortunately the food we ordered for room service wasn’t very good the fish and batter were soggy and the chips were rock hard not like what we had last time we stayed . So unfortunately didn’t enjoy our stay this time around

Great hotel but the bed was really hard. Had problems with the prebooked parking, the machine wanted more money from us in the morning, but your staff very kindly sorted it for us.
