Hazel, the host is absolutely exceptional. The cleanest place stayed in! I have stayed in many luxury establishments, but this was fabulous. The beds were King and like sleeping on clouds! The view was outstanding, and resident seals, otters, red squirrels. A stone throw from beautiful Oban. Book Argyle Boat tour, seal colony trip! Hazel is the heart of this place. The daughter said,'It was banging'.. Sauna was gorgeous because it was private. Fishing rod if required. Great if bringing kayaks. Regular Heron visitor and owls at night. The drive to private accommodation is spectacular. Definitely visit Gunpowder Melfort Hotel as very welcoming, games, music, bar and Manager is attentive to walk-in. 5 mins from accommodation for a pint or try local thistle Cider! Love it here!!

Melfort Pier was a great place to stay. Our little apartment was well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony which had great views of the harbour and out over the loch. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and the kitchen had everything you could need for a short stay.

Location was excellent, lovely place for a wee break. Staff were great and showed us to the accommodation quickly. Loved the open space in the accommodation, plenty of furniture, especially the seats looking directly out over the loch. Bathrooms were really modern and clean. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you needed for bringing your own supplies. Cot and high Chair were provided for our daughter which was great.
