The hotel seems to have been nicely refurbished since my last visit 3 years ago.The reception staff were most welcoming and helpful. My room was nicely fitted out with all the essentials and I had a great view directly over the harbour and the fishing fleet. The ensuite was spic and span with a good powerful shower. The bed was comfortable, but see below.

The Tara is a newly renovated hotel in a wonderful location with free parking available adjacent to the hotel. Very well appointed large room with a lovely view of the water. Helpful staff, great restaurant for all meals, separate bar, spotlessly clean- it was excellent at every level.

Great location in centre of town overlooking harbour. Really nice room, recently refurbished. Good quality and value food in the evening. Breakfast menu - great choice
