The room is spacious, bed is comfortable and shower was good. The staff were friendly but a bit OTT in the restaurant.

A pleasant stay but very, very disappointed in the bar food. Ordered 2 Chicken Supreme mains at €28 each and we were presented with a tiny portion of chicken, 2 tiny sprigs of brocolli and a small scattering of red cabbage. No potato or mash which was removed from the dish by the chef in the last few weeks in order to increase revenue by charging €5 extra for a side of mash / potatoes. The dish was warm, not hot and the chicken was dry and tasteless. I got a call from the hotel before arrival confirming a dinner reservation in the restaurant, which I had not made. Nonetheless, we ate in the bar but left the restaurant hungry. If management want to entice guests, after a long journey, to eat at the hotel, I strongly suggest, that they look at their portion sizes for bar food. For our second nights stay, we ate in O'Deas pub in Portarlington. Their main chicken dish was 4 times bigger and delicious !

We booked the 2 bed apartment, it was beautiful, very comfortable and couldn't fault it and will definitely return.
