Eliza “The most perfect B&B set in the most picturesque Irish landscape.”
18 Aug 2025
We loved everything about this property. It was beautifully maintained in a picturesque country landscape, so close to so many gorgeous little towns. it was so quiet and the gardens were beautiful. The dogs and chickens were gorgeous! There are not too many rooms so you feel a real sense of privacy without being isolated. Our room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was just lovely. We had everything we needed in our room and tea and coffee facilities just downstairs available at any time. The room was spacious and secure - lockable. Fresh air coming in off the Irish hills through the windows! Just delightful. Noreen was an absolute gem. She was so kind and friendly and gave us the best tips for seeing the local area. She was so flexible with our check in and so very welcoming. The perfect host. And this is the best breakfast we have had in Ireland - so generous and you want for nothing. Great coffee and the homemade bread was to die for! We wish we could have stayed at Kilcatten for the entire holiday - it’s the sort of place that feels like home but feels luxurious and like you’re being well looked after at the same time. No complaints. Best B&B we have ever stayed in.

Super breakfast loads of choice. First class “proper” coffee. A kitchen area in case we needed to put together sandwiches etc.

Noreen and Joe were friendly hosts who went out of their way to be helpful and make our stay delightful. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view across the garden. We loved the location in the countryside where it was very peaceful and quiet. Our favourite B and B we’ve stayed in on our travels in Ireland.
