Lena's apartment in Kyiv was the perfect place to stay for a short working holiday (I was there 10 days in total). I'd stayed in the Podil district before and really liked it, and the apartment is just a few mins walk to the metro, with lots of supermarkets nearby. The place has everything you need - from a well-stocked kitchen to ironing board and clothes drying rack. Having a large powerbank backup for the Wifi router and charging phones during power outages was also very convenient, as they were quite frequent when I was there.

Fast 24/7 internet with a powerbank backup: lovely breeze in Summer, a/c exists but did not need it. Clean, homey, but transforms into a super remote working location. Balcony lovely to relax on! Thursday street market is a 5 minute walk away, with fresh everything, and the permanent market is a 10 minute walk toward downtown. For security, there's 2 walls, a solid building, and gas cooking, so borsch all through the blackouts, tea any time.

So close to both the Metro and a great diner & Point of Invincibility. I felt very comfy, cosy, and secure there. Everything I needed... good wifi, no nonsense. Owner was helpful and responsive, and even took the trouble to write to me in my language (Dutch) which was kind and considerate. Kitchen well stocked, with great nearby shopping, and 10% discount at a local restaurant where I went often.
