Spa Shallum is a great, affordable place to explore Lake Kivu! It's made especially great by manager Faustin, who gave us recommendations for boat and kayak guides, arranged food delivery, board games to borrow and Moto taxis and just overall is very attentive and friendly! Breakfast is also fresh and delicious, and made even better by the view of the lake (don't be mistaken: there is a road between the accommodation and the lake itself, but it's not very frequented, so it's very quiet and peaceful). When I come back to Kibuye, I'll definitely stay here again.

Great to have breakfast on the terrace outside the room. Service is great and Faustine was super helpful. Great location at the Lakeside.

This was my second time staying here, I left to visit 2 other towns and couldn’t resist coming back here after a great first visit. Same as last time everything was super clean and comfortable. Communication with Faustin was great. I think the rooms are lovely, really cosy. Wifi is very fast. Breakfast is provided at whatever time you want it

Everything was excellent. Firstly the place was VERY clean. The bed was comfortable and warm. Fast WiFi, plenty of plug sockets. Very quiet, felt very safe. Breakfast was a surprise addition and was a delicious omelette each morning. The spa is incredible, I had an amazing 90 minute massage for a really good price. I was able to park my car safely at the spa. Faustin was super friendly, he even came with me to watch a football match in town that I wanted to see.
