First of all, this hotel is perfectly located. It is located right in front of the West Gate, so you can walk to the historic sites. Especially on hot days, you can rest in the hotel during the day and come back to visit again when it is cooler. The hotel is a traditional building, and it is beautiful and stylish. Breakfast is served daily with fresh fruit and a variety of dishes. The owner is very friendly and warm. If I visit Khiva again, I will definitely stay here.

I've just spent 3 nights at this charming old caravanserail, and definitely recommand it. Everything was perfect! Comfortable room, clean and well equiped. Breakfast was Excellent and the hosts most helpful. The location is perfect, right in front of the main entrance of the old city.

We loved everything about this place. If I had known how wonderful it was, I would have stayed an extra night just to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings. The hotel is actually a former madrasah—an Islamic school—founded in the early 1890s. The inner courtyard, where the rooms are located, features a mulberry tree and the space where a pond once stood, offering a glimpse into the building’s original use. The rooms are very spacious, with a bedroom, a small sitting area, and a bathroom. Breakfast was incredible, with a wide variety of food and drinks. And the staff was simply lovely. All of this for less than $40 per night. Incredible!

I spend two nights at the Caravan Sarai. I arrived at 9am and was able to check in already at that time, which was really really great and made my day so much easier since I was able to shower, change and be ready for the city after a night of flying. Big thanks for that flexibility! 😊 Everyone was super friendly, it was clean and breakfast was good. The open air seating area is beautiful. Location of the hotel is just outside of old Town which makes it easy to reach everything in a few minutes.
