The hotel is in a good location, with local bus route opposite. There is a private field opposite also for dogs. The room I had was lovely, although very small. All the facilities, including the shower worked well. Staff were friendly and the hotel grounds were beautiful.

Breakfast, room was lovely, interior decor, superior. I'm a solo traveller doing some walking. Staff were approachable, friendly if not a little overworked. Nice quality feel to the place, food outstanding. All the food was good, the bar cake was good especially the chocolate cake. My little room was just fine, what I especially liked was it had a shower bath combo, not just a shower.

Comfortable Hotel with lovely quiet rooms to sit in on the ground floor. Set in a beautiful location. Well cooked breakfast, a lovely garden to sit in, if the weather is nice, there is little not to like. As I can't stand dogs, I was glad that they're consigned to the conservatory with their owners for meals.
