A very tranquil place away from the busy city life, but still close enough that we could go to the nearby cities. The host was very responsive and made sure our stay was amazing. They helped us arrange transport to and from different tourist places.

Delicious local breakfast served by the caretaker in the open back veranda. Enjoyed the breakfast listening to birds. Although I had booked one room I had the whole house to myself. The property is situated away from the hassle and bustle and in a calm environment.

Our stay at Lion Shade Bungalow was fantastic, featuring a beautiful, spacious and peaceful home. The location was ideal for exploring Kandy and upcountry but the highlight was the exceptional hospitality and the hosts' help in organising transport, tours and delicious meals. We felt right at home thanks to their warm welcome and wholeheartedly recommend Lion Shade Bungalow to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
