Everything was perfect - I spent few days in Nepal in different locations and this was the best hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was very helpful. Locations was also good - right in Thamel.

This is close to thamel but in a street which gets quiet and eerie by late night. Good thing they have a security outside. Now we had a not so comfortable experience as the Ac quit working on us by 2AM. What made it worse was the AC actually started pushing warm air out making it even more uncomfortable. There was no tech help in the night and we didn’t want to move to another room at 3AM. The windows are plane glass and doesn’t have a mesh so we couldn’t leave it open due to monkeys outside. Well, other than that, it’s an okay place, basic breakfast options and good staff

When you travel to a new country it is nice to have a safe, secure and competent hotel for your stay. I was met by a driver at the airport, the value for money was outstanding, the staff were exceptional in both customer service and the attitude they approached all interactions between myself and the hotel. They have a beautiful view from the rooftop bar, they offer breakfast and 24 hour room service, and I felt safe and secure while I was as far from my comfort zone as I have ever been. Thank you sincerely for everything Timber House by Tara, I will be staying with you again in the future, see you next time.
