Very friendly and always smiling staff. Shout out to Muna! The rooms were everything you need. And the location so fabulous in the middle of the thriving Thamel neighbourhood.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Bijaya, the Front Desk Supervisor, assisted us throughout our stay with great professionalism and warmth. He was extremely helpful, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for us. The overall service was excellent, especially the F&B team, who provided outstanding hospitality. The food was delicious with a great variety of options, and the service staff were courteous and attentive at all times. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and pleasant. The team truly made our stay memorable, and we look forward to coming back again.

I stayed at Hotel Thamel with fairly average expectations and left with mixed feelings. The location is great if you want to be right in the middle of the action, but that also means noise and chaos come with the deal. The room was acceptable but nothing special…clean enough, though clearly worn and in need of better maintenance. Hot water was inconsistent, Wi-Fi worked when it felt like it, and sleep depended heavily on how loud the street was that night. What really stood out was the front desk. Bijay’s was efficient but distant, Kusum tried to be helpful but seemed overwhelmed, Dolma was genuinely warm and made an effort to solve issues, and Muna was polite yet inconsistent with information. Service felt uneven depending on who you dealt with, which made the experience unpredictable. Overall, this place works if you prioritize location over comfort and can manage your expectations. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not the relaxing stay the photos suggest.

Everything was very good. The reception staff were very kind, especially Muna and Kusum at the front desk, who were very helpful.
