We had a wonderful stay at Mate’s apartment. From the moment we arrived, Mate made us feel genuinely welcome—he’s a fantastic host who clearly loves his hometown and generously shared great local tips for restaurants, bakeries, and more. The apartment was equipped with all we needed for our stay and the small terrace was excellent for breakfast or sitting outside in the evening. The furniture was simple, the mattresses good and the kitchen sufficiently equipped - whereby, we didn't do any cooking. Basic stuff like soap, sponge, washing powder and so on was there. The area is really quiet at night. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and 15 minutes walk from the old part of the town. The next supermarket is less than 10 minutes walk away. The bus stop to Split or Trogir and airport is as well only 10 minutes away and the bus runs a couple of times per hours and until late. The Venus Dive Center is only 12 minutes walking distance, diving was the main reason for us to come to Kastel Stari. You can park your car conveniently in the yard. I would book the apartment again since all was easy going.
