Extremely precious old school ryokan. Being able to borrow DVDs(!) was really fun. Had the onsen to ourselves. Don't expect polished luxury. Loved it.

The only traditional inn left in Karuizawa - wonderful older style elegance inside and a beautiful stay in the tatami room. Lovely staff too. Felt like stepping back in time. Loved the onsen as well! Location is perfect, lots of walks to start from here and close to all the action but quiet.

Really great traditional stay. Baths were great, all amenities were provided to enjoy the baths which were fantastic facilities. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. Staff were very welcoming
