This was a dated hotel with dated decor. It reminded me of something from my childhood. The first room that I was given stunk of god knows what - bad body odours. However, I was given another room right away. It still had a lingering odour but I can live with Chinese spices. Despite first impressions, the rooms were well thought out, comfortable and were probably fitted with quality furnishings for the era. The room worked well and had everything you could need. The shower and bathroom was good, it had slot of wardrobe space, a safe a lockable cupboard, desk, kitchenette with kitchenware, a fridge, hob, kettle and microwave a coffee machine, free toiletries, an armchair and a balcony. There was even a laundrette over the road. The breakfast was really good, an all you can eat buffet style. Location wise, it was fairly central, a ten minute walk from the heart of karlsruhe and there was plenty going on round about.

The hotel is centrally located with easy access to shopping centres.The rooms and room accessories are very clean and neat. Hotel staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
