This is the only place you should stay in Kannur. Full stop. It was by far our favorite place throughout our entire 3 1/2 weeks trip through Kerala. Aparna is the warmest, kindest and most welcome host you can imagine. She is doing her best to give you a wonderful experience, she’s well connected and can organise different trips to interesting places for you. And she’s always there when you need her. The food provided is excellent. Home-cooked meals made with lots of love at an affordable price. Tasty breakfast and lunch & dinner if you choose to take it. Rooms are clean, well kept and provide everything you might need. The surrounding area is nice and super quiet, one of the most beautiful beaches is just a short walk away but there’s also plenty of shops and some restaurants roughly two kilometers away. Getting to Kannur is done in a quick tuktuk ride. All in all this our number one recommendation for anyone who is travelling the north of Kerala!

Breakfast was served each morning outdoors. Breakfast was simple, tasty and filling enough to carry me through the day. Each morning there was something different and always served with fruit, tea or coffee.

As mentioned several times in the comments , you'll be welcomed here with smiles , friendliness and you'll feel instantly good 🌞 The food is tasty , the location is perfect and a short 5 minutes walk to the beach. This is the the typical homestay vibe you're looking for while traveling , we already miss this place to be honest. Aparna runs the best place in Kannur - an ultimate place to stay! Ivory Coaste is located near two beautiful beaches with easy access, and the rooms have everything you need even for a longer stay. But what truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere Aparna creates. She is lovely, extremely helpful, and makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. She is such a warm and caring person, and this energy is contagious - all the guests end up being incredibly nice to each other too. The home-cooked food is amazing. Across our stay we tried multiple different dishes and discovered so many new flavours. She serves both veg and non-veg, and every single meal was a highlight. On top of that, whatever you might need, Aparna can always accommodate - whether it's organising a Theyyam ritual visit, finding local surf instructors, or helping with airport transfers. This is truly a marvelous place to stay and we already miss it!
