Hotel Overview

Santani Wellness Kandy, having opened in 2016 has received a number of international accolades highlighting the level of service, the cuisine and the spa.
Located in the mountains of Sri Lanka, 1.5 hours from the Kandy city, the resort is on a former tea estate surrounded by paddy fields. This 48 acre unique property opens out to the Hunnasgiriya Mountain range, and the Knuckles Mountain Range, a Unesco world heritage side. All rooms have a glass wall that provides unhindered views of the lush vegetation surrounding the area. Free Wi-Fi is also offered at the resort.
Each meal at Santani is an experience, and with no printed menus, the chefs propose a menu to each guest based on the dietary preferences and utilizing the fresh organic vegetables grown on site. All room categories are available on a full-board basis.
The property has a world-class 6000 sq ft spa with a thermal saltwater pool, sauna, steamroom treatments as well as morning and evening yoga sessions. A number of wellness packages can be added on separately for guests staying 5 nights and above, and these include detox, weight loss and more. Spa access and Hatha yoga is provided free of charge.
A number of excursions including river walks, tea factory visits, tea estate walks and more can be arranged on request.

Garden View Chalet - enter dates to see room photos

The garden view chalets at Santani are designed for families with children (above 12) and hence located away from the main area of the resort. These are situated in an area with a small paddy field on one side and a tea plantation on the other. Two chalets are connected to each other through a common open area. One of the two chalets are specifically designed for children between 12 - 15 years with no balconies and other safety specifications. All chalets have a glass wall that provides unhindered views of the lush vegetation surrounding the area. The walking distance from these chalets to the main lounge and restaurant is about 10 minutes but Tuk Tuk shuttles are available to shuttle guests from these chalets to the main facilities.

This villa features a infinity pool. Boasting a private entrance, this spacious villa also features 2 bedrooms, a seating area and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a bath. The well-equipped kitchen features a stovetop, a refrigerator, an oven and a microwave. The villa has air conditioning, a minibar, a tea and coffee maker as well as a terrace with pool views. The unit has 2 beds.

This villa features a infinity pool. Featuring a private entrance, this spacious villa also comprises 3 bedrooms, a seating area and 4 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a bath. Meals can be prepared in the kitchen, which comes with a stovetop, a refrigerator, an oven and a microwave. Boasting a terrace with pool views, this villa also provides air conditioning and a TV. The unit offers 3 beds.

Santani Wellness Kandy offers a unique concept focused on disconnecting from everyday distractions and reconnecting with your senses. The limited phone use policy is a refreshing idea and aligns well with the overall wellness philosophy. The hotel’s location, set in the middle of nature with beautiful views, creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The architecture blends nicely with the surroundings, and the food was consistently good and thoughtfully prepared.
