We stayed at Hotel Yo for four days during a period when a cyclone hit the region. While our experience was naturally different from a usual sunny stay, the hotel and its exceptional team ensured it was still a great one. The location is fantastic. It offers a wonderfully calm and peaceful retreat, feeling a world away from the busy, noisy atmosphere of central Kandy. Every single member of staff we encountered was absolutely great. Their helpfulness and positive attitude really shone through, making us feel cared for despite the challenging weather. During the cyclone, approximately 80% of Kandy city was experiencing power cuts and water interruptions. Amazingly, Hotel Yo's generator was robust and efficient. We had zero issues with electricity or water throughout our entire stay, which made a monumental difference to our comfort and safety. • Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast selection was good and satisfying. • Housekeeping: The cleaning team was excellent. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every single day. • The Pool & View: Although the weather prevented us from swimming, I was so glad I got to see the stunning view from the pool area on our last day once the skies cleared. It looks beautiful! Overall Recommendation I highly recommend Hotel Yo. The level of service, the quality of the staff, and the reliable infrastructure (especially demonstrated by their emergency preparedness) made this a fantastic stay. We hope to return when the sun is out!

Very comfortable rooms with easy walk to town centre . Breakfasts included western and Sri Lankan choices , the staff were attentive and very helpful in the planning of our continuing journey .
