Right from the start, I was pleasantly surprised when the owner offered me a discount as a solo traveler, such a thoughtful and generous gesture. During my two-night stay, I truly enjoyed the spacious room, the comfortable bed, and the bathroom with good water pressure and a working heater. The air conditioning was a big help to cool down the room and the complimentary breakfast (toast with butter and jam, banana, egg hoppers and coffee/tea) was simple yet filling. For the value, I honestly couldn’t ask for more. I was also introduced to a nearby laundromat recommended by the hostel, but since I couldn’t locate it, I ended up using one near the Temple of the Tooth. Unfortunately, that one charged almost three times more for less than 1kg of laundry compared to the recommended place. So for future guests, definitely go with the one the hostel suggests instead of picking randomly! The manager, Jagath and his team were exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. The location is great too, just about 700m from the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and within easy walking distance to Kandy Lake, the city center and the central market (all around 1–1.5km). There are also plenty of nice cafés and restaurants along the road leading to the city center.

I really liked this hotel. Huge room. Very nice manager who takes really good care of any needs the guests have. water kettle in the lobby for ur own coffee or tea. A fridge in the lobby. About 700 meters from the lake but all the buses that pass in front go that way so for 30 ruppees u can easily get there. A nice cheap local restaurant across the street and a bakery downstairs. Good value. Room 106 faces the back and is very quiet.
