Kitchen was well equipped, supermarket across the road was very convenient and with a delicious and varied ready meals selection - we ended up not cooking very much! We were there mid-April and there was sakura flowering right outside the front door. A very quick drive to the town centre, Omicho, Kenrokuen. Free parking at the back of the building.

We really like how they prepared the amenities and beds. Also the apartment is wide enough for us to have a very good time staying there, not like a hotel room but a whole apartment. So comfy.

Almost everything in the house. .🫶 The preparations, the welcome, and the stay. .🫶 After failing to visit the World Heritage Village of Shirakawago last March due to snowy roads, we decided to return in September. The day before, we failed to depart from Kanazawa for Suganuma Dassho-zukuri, also a World Heritage Village. Then we decided to go to Shirakawago via Takaoka and we made it, albeit late. Our achievement paid off with our choice of accommodation, which can be said to be the best during our time in Japan this time. Although there was no host to greet us, we felt a very warm welcome from the moment we entered the house. Beautiful animated writings added to the homey and friendly impression for us. The staff were also very kind to serve us. And what we will never forget is, when we wanted to return to the bus station, the weather was pouring heavily and we were taken by the host's private car. Once again, thank you for the memorable and beautiful experience in Shirakawago.

The apartment was a good size and comfortable. There is a bus stop on the street out the front with cheap and easy access to everything you need and want to do. Across the road is a wonderful supermarket and there are restaurants all within a short stroll. We received very clear and helpful details prior arrival that made our check-in and stay an absolute breeze. All in all a fantastic stay.
