We didn’t get a chance to meet the host, Michio, in person, but he was very helpful, friendly and accommodating over WhatsApp. The property is beautiful, with large rooms, multiple reverse cycle air conditioners and is very close to the Asano river, a Family Mart, and the beautiful Hagashi Chaya district. We also had no issues walking from the property to Kanazawa Castle and the Kenroku-en Gardens. The stairs up to the second story are quite steep, which wasn’t an issue for us, but may not be suitable for some people. We also enjoyed relaxing under the cozy kotatsu at the end of the day.
