Very easy to find, secure parking. Staff friendly. Room was great. Hotel had great facilities too. A great stop on the way to Jasper. Great shops nearby too.

The Thompson Hotel is a cute building with a lot of personality, very well-kept, meets every need I can imagine a traveler would have, and the staff are above and beyond friendly and helpful. It's not glitzy and glamorous, more completely unique. Value for the cost in a city like Kamloops is huge and the location is very walkable for anything downtown AND close to bus stops. Restaurants are great, including the breakfast bistro.

Impeccably clean. We had a larger room with a comfortable couch and 2 queen beds. Kitchen had 2 fridges and an air fryer. Price was excellent for such a large room. We had a great pizza from take-out across the street.

There was a small inconvenience where the power was going to be out the next morning during our stay, and the management and staff were very helpful. They searched for another hotel to see if that would work for us and gave us other room options. We needed to extend our stay in the morning due to my partner having an appt at the hospital, and the other hotels were not able to accommodate that, so we were given a family room so we had more space to hang out the next day. This was all offered at the original price and was all handled professionally, with patience and a smile even while assisting other customers and answering phones. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We hardly even noticed the power outage the next morning. I would definatly recommend staying here, and will stay here again if we have the chance.
