Definitely a lovely traditional stay near Kurodake. I would recommend it if you want to do a traditional Ryoka type stay. All necessities found in the room. Onsen was lovely, and not busy to relax after some skiing.

We loved everything about our stay at hotel Kumoi, especially the atmosphere and its setting in the mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food exceptional, the onsen very nice. We enjoyed staying in a tatami room. This was our favourite place of all our Japan trip. Thank you for this amazing experience.

It have a traditional feel of Japanese culture and way of living. We had amazing traditional room with Tatami Matt and we loved it. Onsen in premise is big bonus. Location is awesome...right on banks of flowing river wrapped around bu beautiful mountain ranges and walkable distance to ropeway and visitor centre. Amazing staff..everyone did their super best to help, answer our queries, evening tea and fruit liqueur time was exceptional . There is also seico mart at 2.min walk and 7 11 around 10 min walk from.hotel. Also sounkyo snowfestival is at stone's throw distance and one can see daily fireworks right from the reception staircase.

Staffs speak fluent English, especially the young fellow from Kyoto excellent!
