Super location, near the top end of the Johnsbachtal, in the beautiful (and outside of Austria relatively little-known) Gesäuse massif. Fantastic views. Very friendly host, happy to give excellent advice on local walks etc.. Freshly-caught trout at dinner was excellent

Our dog is terrified of fireworks, we wanted to escape the big bang of new years eve. The mission was successful, although there was a little firework somewhere in the neighborhood, but the puppy handled that amount well. The kind hosts, the hikes through this winter wonderland and sauna were the perfect way to start a new year. We are thankful to have found this place.

The hotel was in the Gesaeuse national park. Very nice location- peaceful. It has a restaurant which is very convenient after long day of hiking. We had a local trout for dinner. The room was clean and cozy with a 2 seater sofa and had a balcony which we could have enjoyed if we stayed longer. We will stay again if we ate in the area.
