We only stayed one night to be close to the airport before our flight – but the hotel was almost too good for such a short stay. The facilities are excellent, with a spa, pools, and a golf course, though we only had time to try a few things. We especially enjoyed the breakfast – a great mix of buffet and à la carte – and the room service, which offered a wide selection at very fair prices. We also appreciated being able to leave a tip by card at breakfast and for room service, since we didn’t have any cash with us.

Visited The Houghton as part of our honeymoon after returning from Greater Kruger. Booked a luxury penthouse which was fantastic. Absolute 5 star luxury. Excellent eating and drinking options, particularly Cyra restaurant. Staff were first class also.
