Staff were absolutely lovely. The room was immaculate and clean. Aircon made the room nice and warm and nice hot shower in the morning. If you like nature and beautiful scenery it’s a nice getaway from the city.

The rates were reasonable given I booked 4 days in advance during the July school holidays. The village also had a nice vibe about it as it was a few kms out of Jindabyne.

We had a fantastic stay at this motel! The location is perfect – just a 5-10 minute drive from major supermarkets like Woolworths, with plenty of parking and no hassle. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, especially given the affordable price. The photos on the booking site were an accurate representation, and we were impressed by the overall cleanliness and charm of the property. The kids had a blast spotting peacocks and wild kangaroos, and we even caught a glimpse of a platypus in the river onsite – what a treat! The games room and adorable kittens running around the property kept the kids occupied and happy. We'd definitely book again on our next trip. The motel has great potential and we'd love to see it continue to thrive. Highly recommended!!!!

A shoutout to the staff (especially the lady at reception) who dealt promptly and proactively with issues with our accommodation and offered us a solution to our satisfaction. Our family enjoyed our stay at Carinya and were very comfortable after long days at the snow. We had plenty of space and warmth for our family of 5. BYO drinking water (easy to do as there is a WW in town) and no phone access... a good opportunity to truly have off grid time!
