Stayed in Newcastle rather than driving home from a family event. Chosen due to proximity to event. Recently refurbished, friendly staff. Was dubious about shared bathroom facilities but I didn't come across any issues (cleanliness/unavailability when needed) apart from the banging doors ALL NIGHT. I mean every time just one person uses the bathroom, that's four slamming doors! Saturday and a band playing directly below, but that's to be expected staying at a pub. Booked a family room but our third guest went home, it was spacious and again newly refurbished.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Super quiet, despite the nightclub downstairs. Communal bathrooms very nice - clean, modern & stylish (recently redone?).
