The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.

I arrived early, but the receptionist told me she could arrange an in-house guide to show me around while I waited for check-in. I was given a tour of the newly renovated Pentecost Room and the rooftop. All of the receptionists were efficient and helpful, especially the lady wearing spectacles who helped me when I checked in. The house-cleaning ladies were pleasant and always greeted me with a smile in the morning. The unexpected bonus was the chapel with daily Mass and Adoration, and the grace of the priests who gave powerful homilies. I felt so at home in the quiet, peaceful chapel. I had to leave early most mornings, and I didn't eat breakfast. But the staff welcomed me to fill up on water, both cold and hot, for the day, and allowed me to grab a hard-boiled egg to go. I had a buffet dinner there once, and it was delicious. I was happy eating dinner mostly in the coffee shop-the salad was fresh. The attendants were attentive and polite, and spoke good English. This was my best solo trip. Thanks be to God.

A unique place. A catholic hotel that recieves everybody. Unbelivably beautiful. The place itself is an attraction. An amazing rooftop view of Jerusalem. Great staff, good breakfast. Lovely bistro.

Beautiful location and great Christmas decor. Just across from the christian quarter in the old city.

Location is great for visiting the old city. Rooftop has a nice view and the building itself has a lot going for it.
