“Highly recommend to family and friends”

Spectacular views and the fact the cabin is located near the national park, where you can see and encounter wild animals. During our stay, we encountered reminders on 3 different occasions, but foxes were also common.

“Winter stay in Swedish Lapland almost on a Polar circle as it should be”
15 Feb 2022
An incredible experience of staying in a nice wooden house lost in the middle of Swedish Lapland, really picturesque surroundings. Far from civilization but still in high comfort. The houses are perfectly designed and equipped for comfortable stay and cooking as well. The houses are even better than in the pictures. Also, they are super warm due to many electric heaters and thermal insulation (maybe the warmest houses in entire Sweden); it is really important when you are hunting for the northern lights during -30oC night. Michael provides nice snowmobile tours, just don't hesitate to ask. Thinking about coming there during the summer as well. Important: the roads are kept accessible even quite short after the snowfalls.

“Great place for a few days in nature for peace and quiet”
19 Jul 2021
Myrkulla Lodge is in Swedish Lapland, conveniently located between the two 'major' cities of Arjeplog and Arvidsjaur. Landmarks of the region, like the Storforsen waterfall and Arjeplog's silver road and museums, are all within driving distance. If you don't drive, Myrkulla offers exhibitions and tours, or you can simply enjoy the local hiking paths (there are plenty) and nature. In fact, even sitting outside your cabin you feel at nature—almost like camping—as there are trees all around and lakes that you can swim or fish in (a small boat is provided for free!). For wildlife photographers and other animal lovers: there are reindeer and small birds everywhere! I really enjoy staying at the little cabin we had. It had a good space from any neightbours, a fire pit outside (firewood was provided for free). The cabin was very clean and cozy. I bet it is even better in the winter when the indoor fire stove is in use. Unlike other camping—and glamping—cabins, linens are included. Finally, there is the owner, Michael. He is great at making you feel welcome and comfortable without intervening in your activities. Note, we stayed in the summer. I bet, like any other place in northern Sweden, revisiting in the winter will be a different experience —I noticed the snowmobiles parked outside already (;-)). In fact, I hope to find time and revisit as I bet aurora sighting and snow sports are worth a second visit.
