Very good value for money. Well equipped kitchen with a dining area. Bright and spacious room with clean bathroom. Very dog friendly establishment. Short walk to local pub and pizza place but not open New Years Eve! :-)

Nice quite place in the countryside. Nice and simple room and great areas for relaxation and kitchen. A perfect location fo relax and explore the area.

Situated in the quiet, peaceful village of Jels, one finds a rather unique property, old but newly renovated. This was my second time staying at Pension Slotsgaarden, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much their renovations have progressed since my first visit. I expect that, if this continues, this will become an absolute top-tier establishment ere too long. My room (a different one this time) was simple but clean, quiet, and with a nice and well-functioning bathroom attached. In fact, if one is unhappy with their room, the proprietors seem very willing to let you choose a different one. A storm passed overhead during the night, but the thick massive walls of the building damped most sound, and the next morning beckoned afresh, with only the inquiry from the owner on whether I would like to have breakfast? I did not, but the communal kitchen is a wonderful place to strike up a conversation with other guests. There are several restaurants in town, I found the pizza place to be an excellent option.
