I appreciated that the place is 420 friendly, so I was free to smoke in private away from others without backlash. Everything is well taken care of and very pretty spaces. I especially loved the lookout deck which has a stunning view of the ocean. Security is great too, and the bed was comfortable.

I had a great time at African Ubuntu. Everybody is super friendly and helpful, it’s close to the beach and supermarkets. Overall, it’s a great vibe there, so I was very sorry I could only stay one night!

Lovely backpackers with great facilities. Very well located - 5 mins walk to the beach. Welcoming hosts and lekker vibe. Twin room comfortable - but quite hot, could do with a fan in there.

The building consisted of three stories. The top two floors had balconies, of which the top balcony had braai facilities. The bottom floor opened to a garden with another braai area. The entire backpackers allowed for lots of different lounge areas, and that helped if people wanted to lounge and relax on their own for a while. The permanent staff members were friendly and super helpful. They chatted with us, offered to braai our meat one night and even helped a little boy connect his PlayStation to the old available TV set. The wifi was uncapped and fast most of the times. We never had any issues and we generally streamed live TV on the laptop as well as movies. The showers had very reliable hot water.

They allowed me in 1h30 hrs prior to booking to wait in the communal area. I was very ill, coming from Dr Keet in St Francis

Facilities, staff run a tight ship. Opposite the best surfing spots. Two supermarkets virtually next door. Staff professional, very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you to all.
