Excellent service in the restaurant despite being very busy. Beautiful location in the countryside but wit easy access to the motorway.

Location very unusual position and impressive in the Mesa River gorge. River flows within feet of the accommodation. Room was a superior twinned bedded with a balcony (only a few) extremely modern with air con. In the new wing of the hotel. Very helpful staff at reception to explain where our room and facilties were as we were the only UK residents staying. Breakfast and dinner were included with our stay. Choice was 4 starters, 4 mains no a la carte menu. Good Spanish basic style food with a bottle of wine included. Fish on the menu very good. Breakfast was very good buffet with hot food. Facilities. This is a Spa hotel and the pool is literally against the cliff of the gorge, with water from a spring at 27deg. The floor of the pool is stone pebbles as is really the old river bed. Steam room and other spa options available but cost extra. Extensive walks available up the gorge if you stay for longer. (1 hour walk to prehistoric cave paintings.) Good wifi connection considering where hotel is located in a gorge.

The setting with the river flowing outside was lovely. The rooms were nice but I did upgrade to air conditioned which was a new block.
