great location. nice terrace although not some special views. breakfast good but could be more generous. room and bathroom are really big. some hangers would be handy. it was really clean before we came ( and we were there for a holi sooo we apologize one more time :-) )

Jaipur is a noisy, colourful city with a surprise on every street corner. Doongri House is right in the thick of Jaipur's bazaars and is the perfect location from which to wander the streets and visit the Waha Mahal (which is within walking distance). There is a brilliant roof terrace with plants and a seating area for when you need to retreat (which you will!) to just sit and watch the street below. Even the neighbouring rooftops are interesting - I spotted 2 big monkeys and a bunch of goats on my first morning. There's another, higher roof which gives you a 360 degree view of the city. The owners are very friendly and they speak excellent english - also very helpful if you need information, taxis, etc. My comfortable bed with cotton Indian quilt was a very welcome surprise after the usual slabs of wood that pass for mattresses in Asian countries.
