I liked the location away from the city noise and the ryokan itself with all the traditional decorations inside and outside the rooms. We didn't manage to visit all private onsens (there are four of them, two inside the building and two — outside, in the bamboo grove), but the ones that were located outside were almost serene. One can enjoy onsen without interruptions. Also, we had a friend who has tattoos. And this was the only option she could choose from. So, private onsens are a great addition to the ryokan itself. Oh! And the river view from our traditional Japanese room was quite nice.

The staff were all very charming and friendly. We enjoyed the outside Onsen and the room was large and very comfortable including armchairs and a fridge
