The pub itself and the food in the pub (breakfast included and a pub meal one evening) were excellent. The rating was let down by the very bare/spartan rooms which were not very clean and also cold. It’s a shame as the place has real potential, and it might be that the rooms inside the pub are far better (we were in an outside room).

Amazing stay with amazing staff. Loved the location and the room was just perfect. They were all very friendly and helpful and welcoming and I enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was great and so was all their other food. All in all I loved it and will be back soon.

Room was good with necessary facilities. We didn’t have breakfast but bacon sandwiches were appreciated to take away.

Very comfortable and cosy. The food for dinner and breakfast was excellent and Thankyou for the gluten free options - maybe a gluten free beer next time 👍

It was very comfortable, clean and very sympathetically decorated. The quirky wardrobe mural on the bedroom made us smile. We had Sunday lunch, which was delicious as was the breakfast. The staff were very friendly as well.

Relaxing atmosphere with delightful staff Excellent evening meals. Enjoyed the fireside drink in a cosy lounge with attentive staff. Comfortable bed and airy room. Could be some noise from road immediately below front facing rooms especially in summer.

Lovely rustic village pub. Wonderful log burner in the bar. Really friendly staff and very accommodating of dietary needs. Food was amazing
